Requirements

To apply as an international student, please follow the same application process as domestic students:

Freshman     Graduate     Transfer

All international applicants must submit the following items:

  • Application with $100 Non-Refundable submission fee
  • Official school records, transcripts, or examination certificates
    • Must include certified, literal (exact) English translations for documents not originally issued in English. All official documents must be sent directly from the issuing institution, examining body, evaluation service, or translation service to the USCA Admissions Office.
  • Financial certification as required by U.S. immigration law. (Form)
    • Laws mandate that international students demonstrate they have sufficient funds for their studies. The Admissions Office requires original financial documents, not photocopies, proving you can cover one year's non-resident expenses at USCA.

SAT or ACT examination results are optional for admission, but mandatory for potential scholarship consideration.

Additional items are needed for Graduate-seeking international students:

  • Course-by-Course Evaluation
    • Applicants must submit a "course-by-course" evaluation with GPA from a NACES-member credential service, sent directly to USCA Admissions. Student-provided copies are not accepted for official decisions. All evaluation fees and communication are the student's responsibility.
    • Course descriptions in English are optional but helpful to use in conjunction with the Course-by-Course Evaluation.
    • The Evaluation Company (TEC) formerly SpanTran is a NACES company that has created a custom portal for USCA students to help you obtain a course-by-course evaluation with grade point average calculation at a discounted rate. You can apply with their custom application by clicking here. Once complete, TEC will send an official, electronic copy of your evaluation to USCA.

  • Submit official VSIT course-by-course transcripts directly from VSIT to USCA Admissions (VSIT Applicants from India Only)

English Proficiency

Applicants who do not use English as their language of everyday use must demonstrate proficiency in spoken and written English. This helps ensure students who speak English as a second language are able to participate fully in the classroom and be successful both academically and socially.

English Proficiency Requirements

Conditional Admission

International students from non-English-speaking countries who meet all admissions criteria except the English requirement may apply for conditional admission to USCA without a TOEFL or IELTS score. Conditional admission indicates academic eligibility, but full admission and class enrollment require proving English proficiency through USCA’s TOEFL/IELTS standards or completing specific levels at a partner IEP.

In order to apply for conditional admission, follow the standard application process for international freshman or transfer students. Then, express your interest in conditional admission by emailing the Admissions Office.

International Cost Overview

Tuition and fees at USCA are the same for international students as they are for domestic non-resident students, but there are documentation requirements.

The cost of attendance is the total amount of tuition, fees, room and board, books, supplies, and other estimated school expenses.
