Admitted Students Day

  • What is it? An event for students who have been accepted to USCA. The day is an opportunity for students and their families to learn more about the student experience at USCA, meet current students, and complete any paperwork.

New Student Orientation

  • What is it? Orientation programs are offered to assist new students with transitioning to life at USCA. You’ll be introduced to faculty, staff, and students and learn about your opportunities and responsibilities as a student.

  • Dates for the 2025-2026 academic year: All Orientation programs are completed for this academic year. Dates for Summer 2025 are as follows:

    1. May 15 (Freshmen)
    2. June 26 (Freshmen)
    3. July 8 (Transfer)
    4. July 10 (Freshmen)
    5. August 13 (Transfer)
    6. August 14 (Freshmen)

Extended Orientation

  • What is it? Project Pacer, our Extended Orientation, is a program that is design to help incoming first-year students gain leadership skills and connections with their peers before their first day of classes.

 Move-in Day

  • What is it? A day when students living on campus are able to start moving into their residence halls.
  • Contact: University Housing (803-641-3790)
  • Date for the 2025-2026 academic year: August 16th 

Freshmen Convocation

  • What is it? Freshman Convocation marks the first official academic ceremony for the incoming freshman class. The annual event, which began in 2016, was designed to mimic graduation and help inspire and motivate students to begin thinking about graduation and their future

Weeks of Welcome

  • What is it? Weeks of Welcome (WOW) is designed to celebrate the start of a new term and welcome new and returning students back to campus while connecting students to the people, places, and groups that drive relationships and connection to USCA.

Get on Board Day

  • What is it? An opportunity for students to explore the different clubs and organizations at USCA and see available resources for students.

Water Fest

  • What is it? Water Fest is a fun-filled pool party at Pacer Downs featuring games, music, and more for students to enjoy.

Greek Forum

  • What is it? An annual event where students can attend and to learn about our Fraternities and Sororities at USCA!

Academic Advisement

  • What is it? USCA recognizes advising as a foundational connection between the university and our students that leads to the growth, development, and success of all students from orientation to graduation.

Family Day

  • What is it? Family Day at USCA lets parents and families engage with the campus, enjoy activities, and connect with their students while learning about academics, athletics, and campus resources.

  • Date for the 2025-2026 academic year: September 20th

Haunted Hike

  • What is it? An event where students can bring a canned good or $1 to walk a spooky trail on campus, experiencing thrills and chills along the way!
  • Who runs it: Pacer Union Board
  • Date for the 2025-2026 academic year: October 24th

One Table

  • What is it? The objective of One Table is to bring all faculty, staff, and students together to support a cause in the community and then share a meal as one.
  • Who runs it: The Division of Student Affairs
  • Date for the 2025-2026 academic year: November 16th

Holiday Fest

  • What is it? A festive event celebrating family traditions and holiday movies, which include, Christmas stories, carolers, letters to Santa, breakfast, and delicious treats like hot cocoa and cookies. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Stress Blowout Breakfast

  • What is it? An event where you can enjoy breakfast for dinner, hang out with friends, and relax before exams with music and good vibes!
  • Who runs it: The Division of Student Affairs

Homecoming

  • What is it? Annual event for alumni, families and friends to come together and celebrate all things pacer. This event included activities on and around campus.

Pacer Madness

  • What is it? Campus-wide spirit event during Homecoming Week for students/staff to kick off the week and introduce the Homecoming Court and Homecoming Teams.

Career Fair

  • What is it? Career Fair is designed to provide students with opportunities to meet recruiters, employers, and alumni, which can help students build a professional network early on. These connections might lead to job or internship opportunities.
