CarolinaCard
What is the CarolinaCard? What do I use it for?
The CarolinaCard is your official USC Aiken ID card and a flexible-
spending, declining balance card. It can be used pretty much everywhere! Use it at the bookstore, any food place on campus, campus vending machines, and the concession stands in the Convocation Center. If you venture to other USC campuses, the CarolinaCard works there, too.
The CarolinaCard is also connected to PacerPrint, which is how you can print on campus. Printing isn't free, but you are automatically given $10 in printing money every semester. If you require more than $10 worth of printing, you can add money to your CarolinaCard anytime online through Self-Serve Carolina (SSC).
The CarolinaCard allows you to use university facilities and services. Bring it everywhere you go! Seriously, it gives you access to everything. You will scan your CarolinaCard at ICE Events, food, printing, and much more. You'll want to be sure that you get your CarolinaCard before the first day of class.
How do I get my CarolinaCard?
You get your CarolinaCard at the University Police Office. You can either have your photo taken in the office, or you can submit it ahead of time via SSC to save time. To pick up your Carolina Card, you must bring a valid photo ID with you, such as your driver’s license, state-issued ID card, military ID, or passport.
To submit your photo online:
- Go to my.carolinacard.sc.edu
- Accept the online Cardholder Agreement and click photo upload.
- You will receive a photo confirmation email from the CarolinaCard office.
Photo must be uploaded 72 hours prior to when you plan to pick it up.
Photo requirements:
- Background MUST be a solid color.
- Head MUST be facing the camera
- Photo MUST be cropped head to shoulder.
- Photo must be in color.
- No hats, sunglasses, tank tops, halter tops, sleeveless tops or bathing suits.
- No offensive words, tobacco or alcohol images.
- Must be in JPEG, GIF, or PNG format.
- File must be smaller than 1.5 MB in size.
How much does the CarolinaCard cost?
Your first card is issued free; there is a $25 fee to replace lost, stolen, or damaged cards.

Parking Decal
You also get your parking decal from University Police. First, electronically complete a 
Student Parking Decal Form. Then, stop by the University Police Office with a valid picture ID and your vehicle registration. There is no cost for the decal. You should obtain your parking decal before you begin classes. Otherwise you could be ticketed, and nobody wants that!
