The Staff Assembly (SA) at UofSC Aiken was formed to coordinate suggestions concerning all full-time equivalent staff members at USC Aiken. The assembly promotes the welfare of classified employees in general. It also acts as liaison medium for classified employees and the administration, faculty, and students. The Staff Assembly, however, does not function as a grievance committee or bargaining unit.

The purpose of the assembly is to coordinate employee suggestions concerning the management and operations of USC Aiken, and to promote the welfare of classified employees in general. This body shall communicate concerns and suggestions to classified employees, administration, faculty and students, and shall forward concerns to the Staff Assembly Advisory Committee.
