If you wish to claim South Carolina in-state residency for tuition and state scholarship purposes, please do so by logging in to your SSC account and completing the “South Carolina Residency Certification” process (button at the top right of the SSC Student tab). The certification process also includes Richmond or Columbia County, Georgia citizens applying for in-state tuition rates at UofSC Aiken.

Step 3: Final Steps

The final steps all depend on your student type. Click on your student type below to learn more:

1. Submit your final HS transcript

You are required to submit your final high school transcript after graduation. This should include the type of diploma, the graduation date, as well as your class rank. Per state law, we are required to obtain this from each incoming freshman student. It is YOUR responsibility to request this from your school counselor. They will not accept the request from us.

2. Submit any AP/IB scores and/or dual enrollment transcripts

It is also your responsibility to contact the testing agency or college in which you received these credits. They must contain your final grades for the courses.  You will not receive college credit for courses you do not submit to us.
