Honors Program

Established in 1991 and expanded in 2005, the UofSC Aiken's Honors Program offers academically talented, highly motivated students opportunities for enriched learning experiences both in and outside the classroom.

Honors students participate in a unique learning community that enjoys small classes and independent study under the direction of USC Aiken's best teacher-scholars in a program that cultivates critical thinking, analysis, and creative expression.

Incoming honors students who have received a letter of invitation or who have a High School GPA of 3.5 or higher (~3.8 on the SC Uniform Grading Scale) may apply to the Honors Program. Continuing university students with 45 credit hours or less and a USC Aiken GPA of 3.5 or higher may also apply.

Applications for 2021-2022 will not require standardized test scores. No SAT or ACT score will be required to apply,
