As an integral part of USC Aiken, the School of Education is committed to the University goals of active learning through excellence in teaching, faculty and candidate scholarship, and service. Candidates in the School of Education participate in a rigorous curriculum that encompasses a strong liberal arts and sciences foundation, challenging education courses and extensive fieldwork in local schools.
Our teacher education programs are fully accredited by the South Carolina Department of Education, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) as well as the program’s respective professional organizations. Our award winning faculty hold advanced degrees from respected Universities and are experienced classroom teachers and administrators.

The University of South Carolina – Aiken School of Education is hosting an accreditation visit by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) on March 28, 2020. Interested parties are invited to submit third-party comments to the CAEP site visit team. Please note that comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education programs offered, and should specify the party's relationship to the provider (i.e., graduate, present or former faculty member, employer of graduates).
