Dear Proud Pacer Families –

Welcome to the University of South Carolina Aiken!

We are delighted your student has chosen to become a Pacer.  The transition to campus is an exciting time for them – and you.

Our dedicated faculty and staff stand ready to ensure their success and graduation.  They breathe life into the heart of our mission and all we do to accomplish it, which is simply, transform lives through education.

Studies show that during the course of a lifetime, those with a four-year degree can earn up to $1 million more than their peers who do not have a bachelor of science or arts.  Also, according to the 2014 Competing through Knowledgestudy conducted by The Darla Moore School of Business, South Carolina will need 114,500 more college-educated workers by 2030 and some 550,000 jobs will require a four-year degree.

USC Aiken is well positioned to provide employers with young leaders, like your student, who are articulate critical thinkers and poised to meet the needs of the state and beyond.

Ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the #1 Regional Comprehensive Public College in the South, and designated a College of Distinction in the United States in 2018, USC Aiken is a confirmed educational leader.

While we are focused on helping your student achieve his or her educational, professional, and personal goals, we are also committed to guiding you through your unique Pacer journey.

Our Office of Parent and Family Relations will be a tremendous resource for you.  The team will engage with you often to ensure that you stay informed about university activities, important dates, and stay connected to various resources available to you and your student.

Be sure to check the Just for Parents website for frequent updates, and sign up to receive our monthly parent and family newsletter.
