I was born and reared in Brunswick, on the southeastern coast of GA. I don't remember my first trip to the beach and it is still my very favorite place to be. I came to Aiken in 1992 when my husband took a job here. I entered USC Aiken as a non-traditional transfer student, beginning here in 1998 and graduating in December 2001, not long after my 41st birthday. It was one of the most exciting days of my life! USC Aiken was the 4th school I attended , over a span of 20 years, and the best of the bunch. I love USC Aiken and love being able to share it with others. One of the most enjoyable parts of my job is working with other nontraditional students and helping them to realize their dream of walking across the stage to receive that diploma! The faculty and staff at USC Aiken supported and helped me all along my way to reaching that goal, and I find it very satisfying to be a part of that for others. Away from work, I spend my time caring for my family, volunteering and finding ways to be involved in the community, being active in my church and, currently, working toward an MBA.
