Zachary Bond is currently a Doctoral student in clarinet performance at the University of South Carolina Columbia campus.  Mr. Bond has performed both as a soloist and with several professional ensembles.  As a student pursuing a Master of Music Degree in clarinet performance at USC, he served as Co-Principal Clarinetist with the University of South Carolina Symphony Orchestra for the 2013-2014 season, performed with the USC Opera in their productions of Bernstein's Candide and Donizetti's Elixir of Love, and continues to perform as a member of the USC Wind Ensemble, the university's most distinguished ensemble.  Mr. Bond has also performed on numerous occasions with multiple university chamber groups as well as solo performances.  In addition to his work at USC Columbia, Mr. Bond continues to actively perform in the community.  He was a guest artist with the Dutch Fork Choral Society for their Christmas 2012 performance at Chapin United Methodist Church and recently served as Principal Clarinetist with the Concerto Solo Orchestra at Union United Methodist Church in Irmo.  Mr. Bond is also a member of the Chapin United Methodist Church Worship Orchestra, a performer at St. James Lutheran Church in Red Bank, and has participated with the Lake Murray Symphony Orchestra and the South Carolina Intercollegiate Honor Band.

Mr. Bond received his Bachelor of Music degree in clarinet performance at Newberry College under the instruction of Dr. Barry McGinnis, Professor of Winds and Wind Chamber Groups.  Under his tutelage, Mr. Bond served as Principal Clarinetist with the Newberry College Concert Band and Marching Band, and Principal Clarinetist in the Newberry College Chamber Winds and Clarinet Ensembles.  Mr. Bond also served as Lead Tenor Saxophonist with the Newberry College Jazz Big Band and Jazz Combo, while also performing as a soloist.  He continues to study under the direction of Joseph Eller, Associate Professor of Clarinet at USC and Principal Clarinetist of the South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra.  Mr. Bond has also received instruction from Steve Cohen, Robert DiLutis, Enid Press, Linda Cionitti, Pedro Rubio, Alexander Fiterstein, Fan Lei, Dan Silver, the Parker Quartet, and John Bittle, Second Clarinetist of the South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra.  Mr. Bond currently resides in Gaston, South Carolina.
