Self-Service Carolina
Self Service Carolina (SSC) is the system students use to manage their personal information and perform many student-related transactions. As a student, you will use SSC to register for classes, view your class schedule, manage your financial aid, and pay tuition.

Student Email
Office 365 is now available to all current students!  If you haven't already downloaded your copy find out how to on the 365 Setup page. Email is part of your Office 365 account.

Next Steps for Admitted Students


Congratulations again on your admission to USC Aiken Palmetto College! There are several steps before you begin classes.  You can begin working on the following items:

1. Set-up Usernames and Passwords:

Self-Service Carolina (SSC), your USC Aiken student e-mail account and more.  These are your tools to conduct official business within the University - apply for SC residency, accept financial aid offers, communicate with faculty, staff, etc.  See how to set-up usernames and passwords.

2. Submit Your Deposit and Confirm Enrollment

3. Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Early submission of your FAFSA can be crucial.  You should apply as soon as possible to receive consideration for financial aid.  USC Aiken's financial aid school code is 003449. Your award will appear on Self-Service Carolina For more information, go to Financial Aid.

4. Participate in the Mandatory Virtual Orientation for Palmetto College Students

USC Aiken Palmetto College students are required to attend a mandatory virtual orientation conducted via Adobe Connect.  Students who do not participate will not be advised or registered for classes.  Details will be sent via email.

Fall 2017 Virtual Orientation Dates:
Tuesday, April 18 at 8pm
Tuesday, May 9 at 8pm
Tuesday, June 6 at 8pm
Tuesday, June 20 at 8pm
Tuesday, July 11 at 8pm
Tuesday, July 25 at 8pm
Tuesday, August 8 at 8pm

5. Citizenship 

You need to verify your citizenship (if you have not submitted the FAFSA). You will not be able to register for courses until your citizenship verification is complete. Verify your citizenship.

6. Residency

To claim SC in-state residency for tuition and state scholarship purposes, please do so by logging into your SSC account and completing the "South Carolina Residency Certification" process.

7. Have AP/IB/CLEP/Other placement test scores sent to USC Aiken (if applicable)

USC Aiken's school code is 5840. For information on scores we accept, visit AP/IB/CLEP Placement credit.

8. Send Transcripts

If you are currently enrolled in courses, please have your transcript sent to the USC Aiken Office of Admissions once you complete your final semester.

9. Sign-up for Advisement and Registration

Students who have participated in the Virtual Orientation will be contacted by the Palmetto College advisor regarding available advisement times.  Advisement will be conducted via phone, Skype, or FaceTime.  

10. Prepare for the Semester

Information regarding registration can be found in the Palmetto College Virtual Orientation on Blackboard.  Course materials are also required for the first day of class.  Link to new website coming soon!

Palmetto College students do not have to meet the immunization requirement nor attend an on-campus orientation.
