After a brief stint away from USC Aiken, Matt Torres returned to campus to provide students the same quality experience he received. Matt is currently the Interim Assistant Director of Student Life at USCA, a position he was drawn to from his time as a former student. In that role he oversees the community service program, Pacer Union Board and Parent Orientation program.
His role as a professional is an extension of his college experience where he participated in Pacer Union Board, was a Pacesetter, was involved in Student Government, Pacer Fanatics, and brother of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. In fact, one of his best experiences as a student was his time as a Pacesetter, where he grew close with other student leaders and guided incoming freshman through their orientation experience.
It was Matt’s involvement in USC Aiken activities, and the mentorship of a coworker in the Student Life Office that drew him back to the campus to serve in a professional role. He is a strong advocate for student involvement and feels that students should join an organization or participate in activities to make friendships, gain tremendous skills and gain new experiences.
